I love the activities that are happening at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. How I wish there is such museum in Singapore! I love to do things with my hands – designing cards using paper of different colour and textures, doodling, sketching, drawing, creating handy crafts – since young. Sad to say, I seldom do that now. It excites my heart when I see The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art – it seems like my long-lost friend is returning home.
Dot is still too young for art and craft as she sometimes still put things in her mouth. Under my watchful eyes, I have started her on learning how to hold a colour pencil to draw on her own drawing board. She is improving on her pencil grip and she is able to scribble with sufficient strength to leave traces of colour on the paper.
