The Imperial Ice Stars Sleeping Beauty on Ice is here in Singapore at Grand Theatre, MasterCard Theatres, with only 6 performances from 24 to 27 September 2015.

We are privileged to be invited to the opening performance. The children, especially the girls, are very excited because the show is about a beautiful princess, who was poisoned and fell into a long sleep, was rescued by a prince who came and woke her from her slumber.

Set to the magnificent music of Tchaikovsky, The Sleeping Beauty on Ice tells the classic fairytale love story through excellent world class ice skating, breathtaking manoeuvres and dramatic fire effects – all in Grand Theatre, MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands.

The best part of the show starts after the 20-minute interval. The skilful and elegant skating moves, dramatic fire effects and the flying performers kept us glued to the stage.

This two-hour thrilling production features a 18-strong cast of Olympic, World, European and National Championship level skaters, with choreography by the award-winning Tony Mercer, widely regarded as the world’s leading creator of theatre on ice. There are 98 lighting cues, 17 flying cues, 94 follow-spot cues and 7 scene changes.

Definitely a spectacular theatrical experience that will thrill and enchant many audiences!
